Happy 5th Birthday, Clare! It is unbelievable how much your life can change in an instant, and ours surely did five years ago today at 8:52pm! You have brought us so much joy, happiness, and love these past five years. All our challenges, struggles, bad days, and rocky roads have been worth every second of having this sweet, often silly, person in our lives. We love you, Clare Bear!

I cannot believe it has been five whole years! Happy Birthday to a very seet little Ballerina!
I have a child with major (!!!) health issues, issues that changed our lives forever as well. It is impossible to look back and imagine life without any child (no matter how "problem-free" they may be), and the same goes for Annie. She brought life-changing, paradigm-shifting, priority-altering changes with her ... and, like you, we wouldn't trade it for anything. It is impossible to imagine Annie any other way than the way she came to us ... simply, Annie. Of course, it's nice to have friends who understand what that is like, too (even if we don't see one another often enough -- I will be dropping off six books at your house soon!). HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CLARE! Your parents were well chosen for you, girlie.
